I'm aware, but it may not be done. This is the Chiefs organization we are talking about.

Pollard was being held when the hit occured. He was virtually tackled as he blitzed. He lunged from under the offensive guy just as Brady stepped into the throw. A second earlier or later and he is not hurt.

Those are the chances you take when you are in the NFL.

Remember Trent Green sliding and getting knocked out for the season? It happens.

I sure don't feel sorry for them. So what if they have to endure 1 season playing with a second string QB? Hell, we've been doing it for the better part of 40 years. 1 year won't kill em.

When I saw Brady get injured, I wasn't happy or cheering. I was more in a state of shock. But I don't feel sorry for anyone. Especially the cheating (allegedly!) Patriots ... I am extremely happy that this lowers their chances of post-season success. The same game our QB (love him or hate him) got injured ... it's the NFL ...

Apparently Tim Rattay and Chris Simms were flown into tryout for the Pats, but once they got there, they were told plans changed and sent back to the airport.

From Monday Night Countdown

If that is the case, don't be surprised about Culpepper going there

They were guessing, do they bring Matt Gutierrez back or did Randy Moss say "hey culpepper is still out there" will be interesting...

I get it when people say "great, we won't have to hear about him every second of everyday now"... the media sucks like that. It's not being happy for the injury, it's being happy that the media will StFU. My opinion though is that there aren't very many good quarterbacks to talk about at all, much less the level of Brady, so in the end we'll just hear more about Favre and the Mannings.

I've mentioned it a 100 times in reference to the Croyle arguments... there aren't enough starting quarterbacks to go around to all 32 teams. I've always enjoyed watching the few good ones out there.

I'm kind of enjoying Favre mania right now. I was sick of the media coverage, but now that the season has started, he makes the Jets an interesting team. God I wish our coaching staff would let our quarterbacks throw downfield ......

kcvet 09-08-2008 03:25 PM

I'd say were on their shit list today. so what.

I hate it because of the endless comparisons... I don't have a ton to go on with the teams I follow regarding legends of the game, but I was an Avalanche fan when Patrick Roy retired, and Aebischer (his replacement) never had a chance because he couldn't fill the shoes. The expectations of "the new guy" are always far too high, like the same fans who said "OMG, no one will ever be as good as Patrick Roy" turn around and say "OMG, David Aebischer sucks because he's no Patrick Roy".

ESPN has been talking about what Rodgers has to do, and it's ridiculous. People keep talking like he has to be the next Favre or at least get the Packers to the NFC Championship game to match last year's success. Bullsh*t!! Yeah, Rodgers hasn't put enough pressure on himself, better paint "SUPER BOWL OR BUST" across the field, too.

why would a Chiefs fan ever feel sorry for a Pats fan? Honestly...

They are still going to win 3 times as many games as us with Matt friggin' Cassel.

Chief_in_Commander 09-08-2008 03:49 PM

Nobody felt bad for us when Trent went down or the Bills when Losman got crunched so I don't feel bad for NE. I don't like seeing players get hurt but it's something everyone deals with, injuries happen.

Redrum_69 09-08-2008 03:51 PM

Now if only Cassell gets hurt...

that would be even better

bogey 09-08-2008 03:56 PM

Why the hell should we feel sorry for them? Do you think they feel sorry for us? They should!
