How can Martin possibly start next week? Simplified system or no it's got to take longer than that for an inexperienced QB like him to really be effective.

Robo-Chachi 09-14-2008 05:10 PM

Also, how would it look if we started a QB who wasn't one of the three who were trotted out this week? Not that image is our biggest problem.

Herm is a bigger QB killer than brian billick
and that's really saying something

As opposed to the highly effective and prepared system that trotted out there today?

Hootie 09-14-2008 05:12 PM

voted for Hagans...I'm not sure if I'm making a joke or if I'm being serious.

Robo-Chachi 09-14-2008 05:13 PM

Although, what a treat it would be to see 5 different QB's in 3 games.

I'm sure things wouldn't have looked to much different if Martin started today, but at least we can blame the crappiness on lack of talent not lack of preparation and understanding.

I vote for Huard to start. Scrap all qb's in the off-season and draft one with the 1st overall pick and pick up a free agent backup and make him your starter next season. Huard said that he had a slight shoulder problem, not head, and then stated no comment on why he didn't come back in. He also stated that the plan was for Thigpen to play some, so that just goes to show that our coaches can't tell talent, cause Thigpen looked like a Div III qb.

thigpen

give him every single practice and game snap until Croyle comes back.

the next time Croyle gets hurt (and he will :( ) then we try Martin if Thigpen still is sucking.

by the end of this year, we should know whether or not to cut every QB on the roster.

Yup, if this team isn't willing to get a QB.

Thigpen or Martin. Just so I don't have too watch Huard. But really it doesn't matter who we start with this coaching staff.

Yep, I agree wholeheartedly! Might as well see if any of our young QB's show any promise or not. Besides locking on one WR constantly(not looking the defenders off) and throwing into double coverage a few more times than we would want, Thigpen at least moved the chains a few times.

Who should start at QB next week?

Whoever we can pickup off the street.

Honestly I think Thigpen over Huard, at least he can run away from tackles and throw the ball.

Psyko Tek 09-14-2008 06:17 PM

hell hire a brand new one from the CFL or arena league, or high school football
that'll be better than what I saw so far
