They were 2-5 at the end of the year when the games that really counted were played. Without special teams, they were a 4 or 5 win team. My guess is they collapse again this year.

We should sign Roscoe Parrish though.

You haven't looked at their schedule have you? I had them in the playoffs before this year even started...without Tom Brady they sit in an easy pickings division...

Not to mention all their injured players are back and oh yea Trent Edwards is an actual developing young QB that stays on the field and leads his teams to wins....he's started 12 NFL games and has 4 4th quarter come from behind wins.

Buffalo is a team on the rise make no mistake about it, best young secondary in all of the NFL, the addition of Marcus Stroud, young developing QB, pro bowl LT, 2 good young RB's plus with a top flight WR like Lee Evans and the size of James Hardy, that team is getting there.

So Buffalo beats bad teams, yet KC has consistently been losing to bad teams the last two years.

I put my money where my mouth is. I won very nicely with Oakland last week.

They will likely get a decent record with their weak schedule and good start, but I predict the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats will all be better teams than the Bills by December. We'll see.

Jets and Dolphins, are you nuts?

I didn't think Buffalo would cover 9 either personally.......

My friend who's a Bills fan is right no one respects their team at all, saying the Jets and Dolphins are better is just straight disrespect. Those teams aren't even close to as good as Buffalo and without Brady saying NE is better is pretty much stretching also.

What you said is just a blatant slap in the face there, that team is good, they go down to Jacksonville and win and you're gonna tell me the ****in Jets and Dolphins are better?

FringeNC 09-23-2008 09:00 AM

There are more teams than this that remade their entire roster -- Denver, for example.

What this shows is that it's all about GM, HC, and QB. If you have a good GM and HC, you'll find/develop a good QB and win.

I'm not real optimistic about the future. If Clark was suckered by a bullshit artist like Herm Edwards into buying into his vision, the future is bleak. Can you imagine Jerry Jones doing that? Our best hope is that Clark knows he's in over his head, and calls NE and begs Kraft to send over the 2nd best guy in the organization or throws money at a Ron Wolf, and tells them to burn this ****ing thing to the ground and start over.

I don't overreact to September football. The Bills play the Jets, Fins, and Pats in December. We'll see what happens.

Question, why do you post stuff that makes me shake my head? Well if this prediction is anything like your Chiefs winning 6 games prediction I should be pretty safe with saying the Bills are good.

But hey you'd probably tell me Brodie Croyle is somehow better than Trent Edwards too. I remember getting shit for saying as 3rd round QB's Edwards was as a rookie further along than Croyle was in his 2nd year.

I'm sorry the Bills are a good team, the Jets are a marginally better shitty team from the one they were last year and Miami is still horrendous. Without Brady the Pats are an old defensive team that can't score alot of points...

But I guess Buffalo just has no talent even though I listed a bunch of it off.

Chiefnj2 09-23-2008 09:07 AM

I haven't looked it up, but I would bet that the better teams have had less turnover in the coordinator department than the other teams.

I shake my head to you too, man. We'll see who's right in the long run.

By the way, did you see how well the option worked for Miami in New England last week?

Well I think my track record is better than yours.

I don't see the need for the partial scorecard. Everyone loves the Bills now, but what if Lindell misses that kick and they lose at home to the Raiders (with their starter healthy, not with Tyler Thipgen like us)? This story will be written based on which team is playing deep into January consistently over the next 5 years, not after Week 3 of 2008.

It figures you also were a big Herm supporter on this board as well.

There is no jury out. You are grasping at major straws if you feel that Croyle is going to turn this team around in the 2nd half.

Yeah, I did.

With a real NFL RB actually running the ball.

It's amazing what could happen when the defense is caught off guard.

The Bad Guy 09-23-2008 07:58 PM

The special teams coach is Herm's biggest mistake?

You think that's the biggest mistake this clown has made?

Maybe you and Clayton can alternate as fluffers before Herm's next press conference.
