Marty made John Elway. |
The sad thing is, in his final playoff, he finally let the offense do what had gotten them there, but he came up against a better team.
After 20 years, he finally got it, and it was just to ****ing late. Tragic. |

It's also why any owner in the NFL will give either of them the farm to run their team... |

Come Back!
I'm a Marty guy and I miss that dominating defense. The DV years were frustrating, the Herm years flat out suck. Its so effin depressing |
Marty should stay retired. We don't need to re-hash him here in KC, bring in young blood to replace King Carl.
Marty is the 1990's version of Chuck Knox. Great regular season coach, poor playoff coach. Don't feel too bad for him, he made millions and his family is set for life. I think it's true that lots of time you don't know what you've got till its gone, such as Lamar Hunt. |

Seriously, I'm with ya on this one. But you know Clark will consider Marty for GM when Peterson leaves. So, get ready...I'd be very scared at who Marty would hire for HC. He could probably manage to find someone worse than Herm. |
Personally, if I was the Detroit Lions, I'd be going after him hard. Yeah, he has his mistakes in the playoffs, but damn, Detroit need some wins badly.

Marty is a good coach, and I would welcome him back not only for the euphoria but also for team he would build. He would turn Tyler Thigpen into his administrative assistant and draft Matt Stafford in a heartbeat. |
I'll take Martyball over Hermball any freaking day!
