Who gives a god damn about Marty anymore?

Marty on a golf course is more interesting than the Chiefs on a football field these days.

I've always admired Marty....and that's from a Bronco fan from the 70's....if it hadn't been for Elway, he would have at least 1, if not 3 rings. That being said, I think his finest days have passed him. Enjoy your retirement Marty.

Marty is responsible for Marty's inability to get to the Super Bowl, not John Elway.

Marty made John Elway.

The sad thing is, in his final playoff, he finally let the offense do what had gotten them there, but he came up against a better team.

After 20 years, he finally got it, and it was just to ****ing late.

Tragic.

He gets it now the way Cowher finally got it.

It's also why any owner in the NFL will give either of them the farm to run their team...

Come Back!

I'm a Marty guy and I miss that dominating defense. The DV years were frustrating, the Herm years flat out suck. Its so effin depressing

Marty should stay retired. We don't need to re-hash him here in KC, bring in young blood to replace King Carl.

Marty is the 1990's version of Chuck Knox. Great regular season coach, poor playoff coach. Don't feel too bad for him, he made millions and his family is set for life.

I think it's true that lots of time you don't know what you've got till its gone, such as Lamar Hunt.

MOVE ON!

It was far better than any of your stories.

Because he looked good in traing camp...;)

Seriously, I'm with ya on this one. But you know Clark will consider Marty for GM when Peterson leaves. So, get ready...I'd be very scared at who Marty would hire for HC. He could probably manage to find someone worse than Herm.

Personally, if I was the Detroit Lions, I'd be going after him hard. Yeah, he has his mistakes in the playoffs, but damn, Detroit need some wins badly.

Are you saying Marty doesn't know what a good head coach should look like? :spock:

I bet there are some out there in Denver that write about their old coaches but you think you really see those stories on the rival's forums?

Marty is a good coach, and I would welcome him back not only for the euphoria but also for team he would build. He would turn Tyler Thigpen into his administrative assistant and draft Matt Stafford in a heartbeat.

DDO Nut 10-26-2008 09:26 AM

I'll take Martyball over Hermball any freaking day!

Apparently, those too YOUNG to appreciate the panges and history of this organization should stay SILENT. The man got us closer to the "big game" than anyone else and since. "He can't get it done" monaker hung on him is mostly unfair. He did'nt fumble in Cleveland, he was'nt the one who did'nt execute in San Diego, he did'nt suffer the concussion or miss the field goal in K.C.,but he did start the wrong QB one year. That being said, I would appreciate having the person with the second most wins in our franchise history, "minding the store" as General Manager. Shows me, he at least has a sincere interest in our success. So crack a book and respect your history, before dismissing it.
