I'm starting to think is a serious possibility.

After 0-16 they're going to need a vet QB to get some wins... Maybe they can land Cassell?

Why can't they do BOTH? I'm certain they will. A competent coach and GM won't just rest on grabbing a veteran QB.

This can't be accurate. The only reason Bradford looks so good is because nobody ever bothers to cover his receivers. They are just allowed to run free downfield.

Sure that could happen and just might. But think Cassell is young enough and have shown enough that if a team pays him the big bucks, they're not looking for him to be a stop-gap kind of guy.

Some team (if he gets away from the Pats) probably will be looking for him to be "THE" guy.

People are so enamored with his stats, that they fail to see the obvious...

I don't think the Pats will let Cassell walk without compensation-they'll tag him and try and trade or even hang on to him for insurance in case Brady has complications.

I have this sinking feeling that the Lions are going to grab Cassell in FA and then go OT with the 1st pick. I don't know why...but I just have that feeling.

I could see Detroit giving the Patriots a 2nd round pick this year and a pick in next years draft for him. Either that or they'll swap 1sts and give them a 3rd.

I bet Freeman has the highest wonderlic score of all the QB's.

I think Cassell will not make us much on the open market as he and his agent believe he will. I really don't believe the Lions are going to pursue Cassell, unless he becomes an outright FA-they have too many holes to fill, to give up draft picks for players with ONE YEAR on their resume and wasn't even a starter in college. I think Cassell is average at best and certainly not worth giving up first day picks for.

ROFL...

No one is going to give up over 2000 points of draft value for Matt ****ing Cassell. No one.
