So he's trying to argue that Herm was so bad he finally made CP look bad? That's certainly a reason to keep him around :shake:. I won't agree with his assessment that Herm finally tried to develop a QB. In 2007 he started the year with another toss away in Huard, and then threw Croyle into the quagmire that was left over. I believe that Croyle is very talented. He moved the ball very well at times despite the lack of personnel and the tainted scheme. That said he did not do a very good job of preparing himself to face NFL competition. Part of that has to fall on the coaches. Part of that is also the personnel. If Brett Favre was on this team he would have been knocked out by the fifth game.

I like to think of the situation we are in now as follows:

There is a pot of mystery meat in your fridge, it has been there for at least 4 weeks, that you can remember at least... it is starting to smell, but who the **** wants to touch that shit, it can wait.

About a month later you notice another container of mystery goo. It too, is too god awful to handle with your own hands, why would you want to?

About another month goes by and you can no longer open the fridge because it wreaks of rotting feet and what must be good cheese because it smells so bad. It is now that you realize just how lazy and pathetic you are for letting it get this bad in the first place. With a shame filled heavy head, you drag your ass to walmart to buy rubber gloves and bleach, along with a new set of tuppaware containers.

In the moment of holding the pot of mystery meat you realize that there is no plausible way short of a divine miracle to reclaim this item from the depths of funk that it is within, it must be thrown to the curb wrapped in a blue bag. The goo filled container you never really gave a shit about, you just had to make a move to it because the pot was already used and it seemed to give you the idea that this container would be alright... so you went with it, not thinking that you would be able to see right through it, seeing all that green slop growing on top of what seems to be mucus and gravy only reflects your poor decision making, at least the pot could hide your own ignorance from yourself. The container gets tossed in the garbage, no second thoughts.

Now, you have these wonderful, expensive, top-of-the-line tuppaware containers. These will never let you down. Their seal will never give. They will contain any dirty meat secrets you do not wish to know, or be reminded of. In the event you need to rid yourself of the mystery fuzz inside, the containers are nonstick, so it is easy and willing to give up the left over slop that is no longer needed by you.

So, I guess that I am trying to say that Herm smelled enough that, coupled with the stench of Carl Peterson, they together wreaked a havoc of deadly gut wrenching aromatic stench warfare that forced Hunt to clean out the fridge.

We threw out the old 4-quart pot covered with tinfoil and the knock-off cheap plastic container, and went with the pricey, but effetive and reliable name brand product. Finally, Clark, the Chef, cleaned out this shit packed refrigerator of a franchise.
