Clark has done everything you could ask...

KChiefs1 01-24-2009 01:36 PM

Clark Hunt - A+
Scott Pioli - B

I give Clark a C. Getting rid of obvious failures was not a tough decision despite what everyone makes it out to be. Until he's shown with his pocketbook that he is willing to make this team a champion I withhold a higher grade.

I give Pioli a B. Interviewing Herm for the situation on the ground was a prudent move. I won't blame him if he hires a big name out there, but I'd rather see him bring in someone who will have the energy to start us on the way to a championship.

Pioli gets a C as well. He hasn't done anything except fire a coach that everyone knew would be fired.

I dunno...my perception is that it would have been rather difficult for Clark to spit in his palms, rub them together and say "It's MY team now, bitches!" only a few months after his dad passed away (after 46 years of the LH way). I am not so sure he had an accurate read on the situation until after the 2007 season. He made his statement that 4-12 is not acceptable, and gave Carl, Herm, et al a chance to right the ship in 2008. IMO, he's a young guy who now feels, and bears being the owner of the team.

Clark B+ for getting what we all perceive to be the best guy available.

Pioli gets an "I" / incomplete. Firing Herm was like getting credit for writing your name on the test sheet- "Yes, Scott- that's the first step..."

Pioli I think has done brilliantly in his short time. He could have chosen quickly for PR reasons, but he took his time and did what was right in spite of what everyone else wanted him to do.
Keeping Herm around long enough to get more informed intell on the organization and his players in very smart. Lets see where he goes from here...

Clark A
Pioli B

Who the **** gave Pioli a D+!!!?

If you are that person, then please do click on the link in my signature.

jAZ 01-24-2009 03:51 PM

A+'s for both.

Pioli is doing what he says he will and being thoughtful about each decision.

He seems to be completely sincere and generally without an ego.

Can't ask for anything more so far.

Fritz88 01-24-2009 03:52 PM

The fact that Pioli is studying KC deeply and taking his time. Let Herm and Gunth go will earn him an A+ in my book.

Clark an A for Pioli

Pioli doing great so far 1st step leting Goother walk 2nd step evaluating Herm

led to his firing. Will be interesting to see who he hires as HC and DC.

Time will tell.

Pioli gets an A ... cuz it took him 9 days too long too fire Herm, but he did. So we go from there.

+1

Now, everyone just sit back, relax, and let Pioli do his job. Not your job. *His* job.

This.
the Arm chair GMs on CP... it's no wonder they are really not in tune with the business side.

theorangelion 01-24-2009 07:23 PM

Super Bowl this week really? I stop after the Chiefs lose the last game.

Hammock Parties 01-24-2009 07:52 PM

A+ for both.

When Shanahan is hired, I start the fellatio.
