He would probably raise the intelligence level on FOX. :shake:

Yes, because a butcher of the English language really does need to be on TV.

Trust me...it's not just you.

"Alright, so we didn't score and that's bad. But the other team didn't score much either and that's good. But we lost and that is bad too."

Sounds like a blubbering idiot, I was always embarrassed when I heard him speaking on SportsCenter.

You won't catch me watching any show he is on, my god I could barely stand listening to him when he was our HC.

Wait till the first time he says "Flustrated" on national television.

If Emmitt Smiff can get away with saying "Eli Manning has been given the rice of passage," then it is perfectly acceptable for Herm to say "flustrated."

BigMeatballDave 01-28-2009 10:38 AM

I'm just happy he's not coaching my team any longer...

Bugeater 01-28-2009 10:39 AM

I'll be sure to not watch whatever channel he is on.

Heh, most people here complain that media types look over the chiefs and spend al the time talking about Farvre, Brady, TO, Dallas, Pats, etc. etc. etc.

Now, when there is a chance that someone close to the chiefs that would possibly have some interest in talking about them on the national stage, everyone isn't interested in hearing it because they love hating him so much because he was part of a team that didn't perform in a way that your candy coated dreams thought it should.

I am one that thnks Herm wasn't a huge part of the problems in KC, those were building up over the last half decade, and he was just here when it ended. If he ends up on CBS or wherever I would make an effort to watch him there in the hopes that he might say soemthing of interest about the team I choose to be a fan of....quirky phrases or made up words be damned.

blueballs 01-28-2009 10:55 AM

If he did the HOF presentation for DT
he would be in already

Christofire 01-28-2009 11:05 AM

This will be our opportunity to see just how well-versed he is as a coach. You have to talk in generalities when you're in pre- and post-game press conferences, because you don't want to give away any secrets about your coverages and offensive schemes that your next opponent might be able to use. Now he can break things down using specifics if he chooses. If he still talks in vague Hermspeak, well ... his firing will be further justified and he won't be on TV very long.
