Yeah like that Coogs, man that guy is horrible...... :) |
Oline or DE in rd 2 imo
not because we should reach, but because i think someone from that position will drop too us. i think there a several very good centers that are that in RD 2 for us like Mack or Unger. a few DE's that aren't quite ready for the 1st round could be there too like Larry English or Connor Barwin. |

People just can't get past the #3 overall
they're dogknotted |
I think there will be a lot of good value at the #34 spot. Our #3 pick isn't a good one for getting decent value (unless we come away with Stafford somehow) because a lot of the players available are more for the 8-15 range.
I don't think we shoot for any particular position here but obviously we want to keep our needs in mind. There will be a few borderline 1st round picks that slip to this spot as well so we should come away with an impact player that's solid value. Guys l like that might fall or otherwise be there when we're picking at #34 - DE - Michael Johnson, Connor Barwin, Larry English DT - Fili Moala, Ziggy Hood, Tyson Jackson OT - Eben Britton, Will Beatty C - Max Unger or Alex Mack G - Duke Robinson LB - Clint Sintim |
Here's my "assclown moment":
I guarentee that we (the chiefs) will draft offensive AND defensive players in this draft. Write it down. Championship. Print 'Em!!!!!! |

It is truly stupid to speculate on a second pick. It depends on so many things, that wont happen until the second round. It's halfway ridiculous speculating on a first rd pick. I have faith that Pioli will address our needs from the best talent in the draft pool.

Alex Mack would be nice. Duke Robinson.
I'd like a QB at three, and some good O-lineman in rnds 2, and on. Maybe a FA LB or two. And load up on D next off-season. |

Michael Johnson DE Wake Forest would be my pick. I like the fact that Chan Gailey coached him in college. He can play in both the 3-4 and 4-3. More of a pass rusher, so he may be more of a situational player initially. I think he could compliment Turk McBride well bc Turk is more of a run stuffer. And put Michael Johnson in on passing situations and let him chase the QB. The guy has a ton of upside. Didn't play up to potential. But he could be the best pass rusher in the draft and the last time I checked, we need one pretty bad.
Overview Blessed with rare size, long arms and the burst off the snap to generate an instant pass rush off the edge, Johnson has exciting potential. To this point, however, that's mostly what Johnson has been -- potential. He garnered first-team All-ACC honors as a senior with 17.5 TFL and nine sacks but his play was spotty. A lot of his numbers were amassed against poor competition. Johnson might have a future as a pass-rushing linebacker in the 3-4 scheme so he can use his length and agility in coverage. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/...hnson?id=71351 |
