So you think it was all for show? Haley states that Cassel will compete for the job, Cassel thinks that he is the starting QB. The interviews are in direct contradiction, yet you believe that Haley called him just after the interview to clarify that Cassel IS the starting QB? If so, why say otherwise while on the radio? That's quite a leap you're taking. Again, per the interviews, it appears that the coach and QB are NOT on the same page regarding starting status. |

Whatever. The chiefs aren't paying 14 mil for a back up. |

I assume that they spoke sometime after the interview. Cassel apparently had just reached the facilities at Arrowhead so I assume that he met with Pioli or Haley sometime this afternoon or evening. Not really that big of deal. Why do you assume that they haven't spoke since this afternoon? PhilFree:arrow: |

Take it easy fellas! Haley is gonna start the better qb, period. Yeah we're givin Cassell 14 mil, but not in one check I would think. So either way I say we will be decent at qb this year, and that will be a nice change. I like Cassell, his tape looks good. We have weapons for him to use, whether they dont want to be here and whether they like to punch the ladies, they are there. Like Thigpen too, he may be a starter one day though.

Quite a bit, I might add. |

This is similar to what happens after a draft pick. Peterson was downplaying Dorsey, for example, after taking him last April. Though this isn't the only possibility, the brass can't exactly drool all over the guy and then go to the table and not expect to be ****ed. |
