Thats right. It was Szott. I was so damn mad at him for that. Nick ended up missing by a couple yards after the penalty.

I know that kickers don't make it into Canton often, but he is deserving. Are you listening Canton?

Herzig 03-07-2009 06:01 PM

He hit on my Aunt one time. She turned him down.

DaneMcCloud 03-07-2009 06:04 PM

Guru, it was Szott who was called for holding.

I guess I'm against the grain on this one.

I think Nick Lowery is the most over-rated Chiefs player ever.

He never "won" a football game for the Chiefs and in countless tries, he came up empty handed under pressure (Miami playoffs, Cleveland 1989, etc.).

It's really tough to kick a 51 yard field goal when you're team is down by 42 points.

Plus, Nick personally?

You couldn't find a nicer scumbag.

Uh...yeah...he kinda did. In the 1993 playoff season vs. Pittsburgh, he made a kick to win in OT. I was there.

I was a little kid when he left KC and it made me cry.

What he's saying, though, has merit.

For the most part, Lowery missed on big kicks far more often than he made them.

I was praising Lowery when I should have been praising Aguiar; cocaine is a hell of a drug!

Late 90's - Early Millennium = Very hazy time for DCS.

if KKKarl hadn't cut him and signed Elliot, we would have won a playoff game in Jan 96.

Um, Karl didn't cut him. His contract was up.

The Chiefs offered $100k more than the Jets.

Nick the Dick bolted for NYC.

Marty was never a fan.

Dane is right somewhat.

Nick was a really awesome kicker for alot of bad Chiefs teams.
