I've had grade 3 spondylolythesis for many years now and did a search to see if any fellow CPers had the same issue. I'm curious to know if you went through with the surgery and if so, the results? I've chosen not to go the surgery route per advice for a number of years, but it's really starting to affect things negatively and I've done all the core strengthing exercises along with going to an amazing chiropractor, but I'm wondering if I should look into this before it gets any worse. It's probably just age, but I'm concerned about my mobility later in life.

Well, I lived with it for a long time as well, Mr. Monty. In my case, the little bone things that connect the spine together were actually snapped in an automobile accident (not my fault, by the way). The spondylolisthesis was the result of the broken vertebrae and caused pressure on, in medical terminology, the nerve deal that runs from the back of the head to the upper ass bone.
I lived with the condition for a long, long time. But, eventually, it was going to cause problems with my legs and I use them during certain sex acts. Therefore, I opted for surgery.
The surgery went okay, but I still have some lingering pain that will probably never completely go away. I view it as a curse from God who is dissatisfied with my prior hedonistic behavior. My biggest problem post-surgery was the addiction I developed to the pain meds which has been well documented on this board.
I cannot advise you, but were I to do it over again ... in my particular case, mind you ... I would have the surgery again. I'm comfortable in the knowledge that my spine is stable and I won't lose the use of my lower limbs at some inconvenient point in future.
