well this time we don't even have a "star" player to trade, so even getting a Neffi is not realistic, it is going to be a mid level prospect at best/

It's too bad Rosa and Cortes have regressed so far this year or they'd have some solid value as well....

Sure-Oz 06-26-2009 07:42 AM

Possible CF'er of the future, we got him from the Astros i believe to complete a trade awhile back.

The sky is the limit on the potential return we could get for a guy like Tony Pena Jr.

Exactly. These guys have almost no value anyway. Trade them for what? Some guy with holes in his game stuck in the minor leagues. Hooray.

Keep Greinke and Butler the rest are expendable.

Honestly, greinke should be the only one....and if you keep butler you better keep gordon, they have pretty much the same OPS but gordon will hit over 25 hrs imo

I say keep Butler because he's the only young guy we got that is actually showing some signs of real potiential. His bat is starting to show a little and this was really his first year at 1st base and he did a passable job at it.

You know everyone keeps talking about what Gordon WILL do but i haven't seen him actually do much of anything yet. He's a decent defensive 3rd baseman but only his potential makes him anything better than Teahen and people around here seem to just hate him.

Gordon definetly has the raw power to make some noise...that said he's lost alot due to the injury, i'm excited to see if he can build on anything the rest of the season. He won't be traded, butler is more likely to be imo.

Gordon has lots of power if he can hit the ball. So far he hasn't shown any ability to adapt. His weakness is between his ears.

You correct though, i doubt the Royals trade Gordon or Butler.

Jacobs makes a good fan at the plate on a hot summer day. You can feel the breeze all over the stadium when he swings.
