Jerry Porter???
Gimme a break! A big HELL NO for me, thank you. What are some people thinking nowadays? Not even before he got old would I consider thinking about throwing around the idea that we might be thinking about bringing in such a huge cancer to a team totally lacking a veteran lockerroom. He isnt even productive so I dont even see the point in discussing it. Jerry Porter is a BROKE mans Plaxico Burress and even he is a big hell no! I would trade a second rounder for Braylon Edwards (I know he has the dropsies, but Haley is a reciever genious and this would give us two young recievers for Cassel to grow with and build timing with as well. or a second plus other considerations for Boldin Or a first for Marshall and other considerations Or just sign Marvin Harrison, as on his last legs can still be a dependable option for Cassel on third down when Bradley is hurt. The two could equal to a complete reciever, no? |
I believe Engram will be valuable to this offense.
I think Bowe takes a step forward under the guidance of Todd Haley. I hate depending on Bradley to stay healthy... And the other options just don't seem all that reliable (Webb, Darling). It'd be nice to have just 1 more guy... |
He might be worth a look for the Chiefs. His flaws have been talked about already. Sometimes someone has to lose something to appreciate it. He left Oakland with the big head going to what he thought was a contender. He and the team fell flat on their face. He has found no interest and did nothing short of begging Oakland to take him back. If signed on the cheap he may rededicate himself minus ego and could maybe fill a need. If not they cut his ass and are no worse for the wear.
|
At this point we need to bring in any receiver we can for a look. All we have is Bowe and that isn't much.

I'm just saying; if you're going bargain-hunting, why not pick a guy who still has some years left as well as being talented and in a bad enough spot to get him on the cheap? |
