I admit, I am much more of a wait and see kind of person. I think changes like this are, for the most part, a mistake.

I don't think there are any 'bad' coaches in the NFL. If you have ever been to a coaching clinic with any of these guys, or met with any of them on any level.... truly sharp guys who know x's and o's and subtleties of the game that we just don't get.

So, I think that Gailey should have stayed through this year..... at least, that is what I would do.

Now, with that said, it is refreshing to see a guy come in and just shake the crap out of the tree and see what falls out.....

As much as my approach would be different, and I think this approach may backfire.... I absolutely respect the fact that he is coming in, and doing what he sees fit and is willing to own up to ALL of it.

We'll see if it works, but I respect any leader with conviction to do what he sees fit regardless of consequences.

I don't think this move had anything to do with if Gailey was capable. It had so much more to do with Haley seeing how bad overall the offense is and feeling he needed to be in charge of it more than anything. I don't think he has patience to sit back and let someone else try to work things out.

I think playcalling was a very big part of this decision.

While Chan went to the spread last year to maximize Thigpen's chances for success, even then the play calling was conservative and unimaginitive, for the most part, especially in the second half of games, and in the red zone.

That continued to be a problem in this preaseason, and I think Haley just decided he had to become more involved, not only to get more creativity in the offense, but to use that creativity to minimize the suckage that is the O-Line.

Haley has a plan .. surely it's better than Herms ...

I just want to understand how we are going to have a decent o-line by 2010. To me it's that simple. I don't care who runs this O, until we have an O-line we don't have any chance to be competitive.

By 2010 shouldn't be that hard. The players we badly need are guys you can easily find in the 2nd to 4th round.

Why we didn't even attempt to do that, is beyond me. Mecca's right on Duke Robinson--that was an absolute no brainer.

We ought to note that the Cardinals couldn't run for shit last year. And Warner was one of the most hit QBs in the league.

Their O-line wasn't awesome by any means. Haley still made it work.

Yeah, Fitz, Boldin and Breaston might have something to do with that.

Obviously we're not going to be the #4 offense like the Cardinals.

That doesn't mean we can't be a successful offense if Haley knows what he's doing despite the offensive line.

(and we did run the ball, ****ers)

Well, Todd and ...Egoli :spock: are not only trying to win games, but they are working to change the culture of the team. Things are going happen that we are not used to.

We'll be lucky, from what I've seen, to have the number 31 offense.
