I don't believe for a second that Thigpen has any trade value for us getting Boldin. I would gladly give BOTH our second round picks, and throw in Thigpen for free.

Expect to see a little bit of Croyle and a whole lot of Guteirrez on Thurs...

I'm not sure why Arizona would take the word of KC's physicians in any event. I would think the team wanting to acquire him would give him their own physical and come to their own medical judgment.

I dont know why we'd trade for a wide out when we cant keep our QB's off the IR long enough to throw to him.

booger 09-01-2009 07:20 AM

could just be that J'ville wants him that bad even after the poor performance. Could also be why his agent twittered about how tuff he is playing w/ broken ribs.

It would be hilarious if Cassel couldn't get the job back from Croyle.
Well, until Croyle breaks anyway.

While I don't think it'll happen, I'd love to see Croyle tear it up and have a long, productive career free from any more injury. You know, go on a Will Shields' worthy number of consecutive starts.

hence the orders to send the results to another Doctor. But, other teams can't evaluate other teams players unless they trade is done, pending a physical. So I'm not so clear on whether the Chiefs Doctors can even send that information to the Cardinals. It may have been sent to another chiefs doctor for a 2nd opinion? Again, what was done with that information is speculation.

Gotcha.

Thigpen is what is holding up the "deal?" That makes no sense. It's not as though he'd start, or even back up because of St. Pierre.

I have a hard time believing this scenario. Besides, AB is in camp, under contract and playing - why do they want to trade him?

is this some new level of cruelty invented by the gods?

It has been pretty clear to me over the years I have watched the Chiefs that they are cursed. Was Arrowhead built on an Indian burial ground?

Not a chance in hell Boldin comes here before Week 1. I dunno why everyone is getting all worked up over this....again.

Thigpen was evaluated by the team Doctors yesterday. This wasn't a scheduled evaluation or appointment. The visit was to see if in their opinion Thigpen will be fully healed within 2 weeks and send those results to another doctor. He won't be healed in 2 weeks. The doctors think another 4 weeks until fully healed.

Speculation: Arizona wanted a gaurantee that Thigpen would be fully healed within 2 weeks before pulling the trigger on the Bouldin trade.

Take it for what its worth....

Wouldn't they rather have croyle? He has enough armstrength to run their vertical offense. And he has way more potential than thigpen even when he's injured
