I think most are assuming Miami's 11-5 run last year was overachieving, and that they're coming back to earth quickly. The Wildcat is no longer new and nifty, Pennington is a lame duck, and they had a lot of borderline Ws last year (low-scoring affairs with pushovers, and the Fins barely won). They beat Seattle by 2, the Raiders by 2, the Rams by 4, the Niners by 5... probably one of the more unimpressive 11-win teams I've seen.

Old habits die hard. I found myself picking SF over Arizona, because you know, they are the Cardinals.

Then I thought about what I was doing.

This.

Nere pick Carolina coming out of the gates.

Mecca 09-08-2009 06:48 PM

I think the Eagles are wildly overrated.

I like Carolina. There's no spread is there?

I took Carolina, I don't see a lot of good coming out of the McNair/Vick thing.

Certainly, just odd too me that over twice as many people thought Tenn was going to go to Pitt and win.

JD10367 09-08-2009 06:55 PM

Lions, Browns, Bills, and Raiders, gettin' no love, LOL.

So you're in a latrine at Oakland Coliseum?

Looks like a lot of blowouts week 1.

I didn't pick either one but I heisitated on the Titans to upset the Steelers and the J-E-T-S over the Texans.

No, that would be a dark, noisy room with something poking at my ass.

Man, it's hard to keep this thing up.

On page one, I meant. That was a bad segue...

That's because, well, they're the Lions, Browns, Bills, and Raiders.

So far, JASONSAUTO gets the silver medal for balls, for being the only person to pick Detroit. But purplelights300 easily took gold, as the only person so far to predict both the Bills AND Raiders to win on Monday night. ROFL I think Obama has a better chance of getting a reach-around from Newt Gingrich than the Bills and Raiders both winning...
