I hear ya, but it wouldn't take a genius to do it had it been addressed sooner. It is what it is now and Cassel is where he is because of it...:shake:

If only they could have tried to bring in a former starter to help on the right side...

For me, it starts with the O-line/D-line. Croyle had ZERO time for even a single check down without having to worry about health issues. Haley needs to concentrate on O-linemen and forget (right now anyway) WR's. No QB's = no wins

I don't think CBS would like that very much.

It's probably for that very reason, the Raiders are never shown. :D

Who'd you have in mind?

Runyan's available and Philadelphia has said they will likely not sign him.

Can some of us at least give some praise for the Chiefs efforts in trying to improve the offensive line, rather then discredit them for not trying. Hey, its not like they aren't aware it is an area of weakness. This whole they didn't improve the offensive line thing or not trying is getting ridiculous.

Micjones 09-16-2009 05:03 PM

They've certainly tried to upgrade the line since the pre-season began.
Is it enough? Not sure as of yet. Certainly didn't look that way Sunday, but you have to give them credit.
They've made the effort.

The problem is, they didn't do enough to address the O-Line during the offseason.

They made a serious error in judgement thinking they could work with the garbage that was here.

I love how every freaking thread turns into an 0-line bitch fest.

You know........as many cat's that they feel comfortable bringing in, Runyan incl. I just feel all this WR fitting is going the wrong way. After the game, I was disgusted with o-line performance, and wondered if Haley is seeing the same shit we are all seeing. It doesn't appear as they're not trying. They're just not good. (IMO)
Skip the wide-out tryouts and get some freakin' lineman

Agreed. I think getting a late start though with the new regime might've contributed to that situation though. I think they wanted to see what they had first.

Or in thinking they'd have ample time to upgrade it when Fall began.

I think they can do both honestly. We haven't seen O'Callaghan yet so all is not lost at the RT spot.
Slide Ndukwe over one slot and show us the new guy.

So, you want Pioli/Haley to have tunnel vision, looking ONLY for OL and nothing else, ignoring any potential upgrades at other positions until the OL is addressed? Good plan...

Absolutely.......do SOMETHING about that line. JFC, don't let the Raiders win. Now were talkin' D-line.
