Cassel has a 6 year 60 mill contract with I think 28 guaranteed...

Sanchez has a 5 year deal with about 50 mill with also 28 guaranteed so similar deals.

I think that there was some consternation about not picking Sanchez here with the first round, but honestly, that seemed silly at the time. I'm an admitted football neophyte, but watching Cassel versus Sanchez on Sunday, it certainly seemed like Sanchez is superior and that not taking him in the first round was a blunder of Operation Barbarossa-ish proportion.

Am I wrong?

The bigger question we all should ask ourselves here is, would Sanchez succeed behind this awful offensive line the Chiefs employ?

I would probably incline to say "no".

Are you aware that Sanchez is 22 and Cassel is 27 so what's that say if you feel Sanchez is better right now?

This is such NY media driven crap. Sanchez has not exactly lit the place up. Put him on the shitty Chiefs you think he'd do any better? Put Cassel on the Jets with the talent there and he would put up more than 165 yards. I think he showed last year what he could do with a supporting cast.

Well the Jets traded up in the draft for him...

The Chiefs basically picked Tyson Jackson instead of Sanchez they didn't use that very pick.

If you really cared for Sanchez you wouldn't want he to be with such a loser franchise.
