The problem here is, none of the traditional powers want to schedule against Boise.

Florida would come to play either of those teams, unlike Alabama in last year's Sugar Bowl. It would be ugly.

Of course... KU too.

Ya because Boise St. could beat them

Mecca 10-04-2009 08:06 PM

Boise St couldn't even win it's conference when one of the other teams became decent...

Exactly.

Just care about 3 bowl wins in a row...... Nothing else matters...

Sam Hall 10-04-2009 08:08 PM

I don't like Boise's chances since Harper is out for the rest of the season.

Mecca 10-04-2009 08:08 PM

Cincy gets an auto bid if they win their conference anyway so they aren't a huge deal...but Boise is very overplayed for playing tomato cans all year.

Really? I call bullshit on this. They beat Oklahoma in 07 Fiesta Bowl. They have beaten every 1 Pac-10 team they played since 2005. Did you forget? They beat Oregon, who completely dominated that Cal team.

Come on man, you have to realize that sometimes, some traditional power teams are scared shitless to schedule against Boise, because they would get embarassed if they were to lose to a so-called "inferior" team.

And FWIW, Boise have won all of the conference champions since that conference was created in 2001.

Oh, I didn't realize Oregon was considered a "tomato can" considering you were just arguing that the Pac 10 was a "strong" conference because they keep beating up each other.

You can't go both ways here.

Plus, if Boise was playing teams like "Yale, Harvard, or the Pittsburgh School for the Horny Nuns" then I'd probably question their schedule making a little bit.

kcpasco 10-04-2009 08:14 PM

Look what Utah did to Bama last year

Mecca 10-04-2009 08:15 PM

Ok they beat Oregon so they played 1 team and the rest are tomato cans should I be impressed?

And it's true when Hawaii became decent Boise didn't win the conference Hawaii did.

Can BSU get anyone to play them?

**** the BCS.

Cincy actually jumped OSU this week... strange. Wisconsin is 26th and they're ranked in USA Today..... they haven't played anyone, but they will get their chance against OSU and Iowa (ugh) the next couple of weeks.

You are correct. I was wrong on that one. That was in 2007, the same year where Hawaii went to the Sugar.

Still though, my point still stands. Boise has dominated that conference. And teams like Fresno St and Hawaii are not pushovers by any means, compared to say, Baylor or Duke for example, who have fielded awful teams.
