Jared Allen wins us JUST enough games to keep Carl employed. And Carl continues to screw up in the draft and free agency. Jared Allen ends his career with a bunch of sacks and no playoff wins.

Ownership needed to fire Peterson. The notion that you needed to allow the team to freefall down the drain so you can make FO changes is silly.

It's like saying "thank god Joe died in that car accident, because now all Joe's friends wear their seatbelts."

It's easy to say that move was the catalyst for the end of Peterson's regime, and it may have been. But we don't know that for certain, as Clark Hunt hadn't really had a chance to show us what he would do yet.

The assumption that Clark wouldn't have ever pulled that trigger is just more reason to expect more years of failure. Even if it was necessary to set these changes in motion, I still can't see it as anything other than a negative.

Peterson didn't get fired because they lost 2 more games than they did the year before. He got fired because it was time.

The Chiefs lost seven games by seven points or less.

They lost four games by four points or less.

I said the Chiefs would have won at least six games. If Jared Allen wouldn't have made an impact in at least four of those seven games.... then he isn't an impact player.
