Edwards is 2 years removed from 1300 yards and 16 TDs, I say the Jets are winning this deal going away.

They traded a WR who is a 3 and a special teamer and probably some mid round picks for a guy who can be a 1 all because Mangini and him couldn't get along.

That is pretty much what Edwards got traded for, he wouldn't bend for a Pats guy...

i would bet that there is more to the story. like edwards punching someone the other night and being investigated by the nfl for it

I already put what the more to it is, when Mangini came in he put in all these things where guys got fined etc etc.

Edwards filed a ton of grievances and basically didn't get along with him so this happened.

Well that sucks. WR is one of the few positions where the Jets really didn't have much above-average talent.

Mangenius is setting up the Browns well to be a very good team in about 2012 or 2013. Too bad he wont' last anywhere near that long...

Weird season ...... I don't remember so many trade transactions during the season. It used to be that your roster was set at the beginning of the season. You might tweek off the your PS or wavier wire, but the trade deadline in football was not that big of deal. This year it has been non stop trades.

funny that it happened right after the nfl stated that they were investigating him to see if he violated the conduct policy, for hitting a guy outside a club. but yeah keep thinking you know the only reason

Jason, you're being naive.

Cleveland has been trying to trade Edwards ever since Mangini took over. The Jets and the Giants were both rumored to be interested around the draft.

This alleged assault might have been the final straw, but it's far from the reason he's a Jet this morning.
