It's better than just being ****ing stupid.

A first round QB is a guy that has to potentially give you 12-15 years (or more).

Trent Green was never going to give you that.

He played like it. And for the most part, gave the Chiefs pretty good results. Trent Green is alot better for the Chiefs than lets say....Eli Manning will ever be for the Giants.

But the only reason why he wasn't was because of his age and the time he was here in KC. We got him when he was 30. Had he been the same age as what let's say Cassel is, that first rd pick would be very well worth it.

But that team was ready to win immediately. That was the teams philosophy then....and it hurt this team down the road. I really don't see KC being any good for another 3 years.

He's better than any other QB the Chiefs have drafted. What really hurt was giving up a 2nd for Vermeil. I don't think its ever a good idea to give up draft picks for a coach, even if that coach is the Herm Edwards.

You're going to draw out Mecca...

So years later the Giants are still good and the Chiefs not so much. Great.

Big difference in that Cowboys team and our Chiefs - Troy Aikman. Matt Cassel is no way in hell even close to being Troy Aikman.

Dumbest.

****ing.

Article.

Ever.

Nice how you failed to mention the Minnesota Vikings trade for Herschel Walker that netted the Cowboys among others, Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Jesse Solomon, Dixon Edwards and Alvin Harper, all who were instrumental in Dallas winning two consecutive Super Bowls.

JFC.

You're dumb.

Trent Green was a game manager at best. He couldn't "Put a team on his shoulders" like Montana, Elway, Manning, Brady or Roethisberger.

Without Hall of Fame protection, he was extremely ineffective.

AND, for the #12 pick overall, he was a waste because he barely lasted 5 years.

Who would have rather had with that pick?

Trent Green or Drew Brees?

How DIFFERENT would this franchise be with Drew Brees?

DeezNutz 10-07-2009 05:01 PM

If we're comparing Cassel to rookie QBs, we're in trouble.
