WA state has cheap tabs too. You may not believe it Dave, but you're getting a bargain compared to what most everyone else pays.

Compared to Kansas, yeah, I'd say so.

Of course, we don't have to pay that stupid yearly tax that Missouri charges.

Are you the ASSMAN?

Jesus. Remind me to never move back to Kansas!

Our roads are much, much better than Ohio. There is a reason for that.

Do you have an older car, Dave? That might be one reason it was cheap.

Its an '01. The model yr doesn't matter here. Its a set rate for passenger vehicles. A regular pick-up truck is higher, tho. Like $20 more.

People actually live in Ohio.

Probably. The funny thing is it always seems to be freeway construction around here but not much progress.

Near $700 for an 04 and an 07 last month. Neither particularly fancy cars. Property taxes (house and cars) in Kansas are crappy, there's no doubt.

You can get two year tabs in MO now. And yes you have to get the inspection which is total BS. Where they get us in MO is the property tax which is calculated by some type of top secret formula designed to bend you over. Actually our county tax man changed how they tax. It use to be by vehicle HP. Now they look at the HP and the VIN to add tax for the options on the car. I just renewed for a 09 BMW and it was $76 for two years. That after paying $2800+ in sales tax and our property tax in January which I can't remember how much that was. What really pisses me off is you pay the sales tax and then they keep taxing you every year for property tax. Hey, state revenue fuggers! Pick one tax and stick with it!

$50.00 for your registration? I'll pay 10 years of yours if you will pay 1 year of mine. Yet another area Arizona sticks it to the consumer.

In MO you have to get veh insp each time you renew. It's about $10-$15 depending on where you go to do it. It's ****ing stupid and it's a time waster for both you and the shop, but hey gotta love GOVT!!!!

Need copy of personal property taxes showing you paid the past year's. (I think) My property tax for '02 Jeep Cherokee is around $280 IIRC.

You can buy a 1 yr and 2 yr tag.....I ususally get 2years.....its about $50 for me.

Alton deFlat 10-07-2009 03:17 PM

wildcat09 10-07-2009 03:34 PM
