Yeah, he's on pace for a 100+ catch season and 1400+ yards.

But, but, but...

You can't draft a TE high. They suck. The position is worthless. It goes against all historical relevance!

THIS IS MADNESS!

I don't exactly see Vernon Davis lighting the world on fire.

Vernon Davis is no Jermaine Gresham that's for sure.

how'd that work out for us with the JA trade? better question, how's it always worked out for kc? the biggest stars leave here, and we're always told we got compensated with great prospects, or draft picks, that NEVER pan out. name me one time its benefited kc to trade a star. go ahead, i'll wait...

If I was going to Arrowhead, I would. Sure as shit can't wear my JA jersey.

TG trade was a good trade because he won't last too many more years in the league and if KC ever gets it turned around with the next coaching regime after Haley TG would be retired anyway.

You can thank Shannon Sharpe for this. Again...he is the legend. :P

Tight ends on pace for record production in 2009

NFL coaches are using athletic tight ends to take advantage of mismatches more than ever.

A record 15 tight ends are on pace to catch at least 50 passes this season.

It's an evolving trend as the tight end has become a leader, instead of a complementary player, in passing attacks.

In the past four seasons, an average of 10.5 tight ends logged at least 50 catches, according to STATS, LLC. That's nearly double the number from 10 years ago.

Wide open offenses and zone defenses have created openings for skilled tight ends in the middle of the field. Young quarterbacks seek them out.

Whatever the dilemma an offensive coordinator faces, the tight end has increasingly become the answer

and where would TG rate in the KC offense? I remember him having 100 receptions or close to it in a 4 win and 2 win season. move on people TG wouldn't save this team.

It was tough watching Shannon Sharpe win a Superbowl with another team.

Thankfully, you guys won't have to go through such pain.

I don't have any wounds to nurse over someone who wanted out and asked for it for basically an entire year.
