Is he blowing it that bad in practice, unable to fully comprehend each weeks plan? that has been thrown around this place quite a bit...'not the brightest guy' or maybe he's had a Haley chip on shoulder about the on/off demotion, that hasnt leaked? could it simply be tactical?

I would guess maybe a bit of all those things, but i must give him his due...he's arguably made this years 2 most exciting D plays, that pick & return was great...i knew he wasnt going to haul it in, like years past, but he focused & nailed it. The Hollywood style Leaping Swallow Sack was the kind that revs up fans & team alike.

But his future here somehow doesnt look so hot, Haley's tone of word became quite chippy.

The guy is the classic underachiever. He'll make a great play, then disappear the rest of the game (and sometimes next week's game as well). Once he makes a play, he takes the rest of the game off.

You know that I am Hali's biggest supporter on here.... but that is a very good point.

He isn't THAT guy. He is a very good piece, and much better than anyone in here even understands. But, he isn't Derrick Thomas. He can't make that kind of an impact.

I thought he was the Chiefs best defensive player...with Flowers having a legit argument as well... going into the season, but there was no way I was going to put that out there...... He gets more attention than anyone else on the defense though from the opposing team.
