I'll also confirm what your friend said about the noise: even with the huge number of empty seat and the huge number of terrible towels, Arrowhead got LOUD. When the Chiefs showed in the 4th quarter that they weren't going to give up, Arrowhead got "headache" loud when the Steelers had the ball. Not nearly 116 decibels, but proudly loud, and I think the Chiefs D fed off that a little.

I am tired, voiceless, and happy today.

The announcers on TV also mentioned, "it's getting loud in here"
Glad to hear that the faithful few were getting it on

This.

As much as I love the Penguins, I equally hate the goddamn Steelers. Hines Ward can laugh and giggle his way back to Pittsburgh with this loss mushroom stamped to his bigass forehead.

While I respect the team for "traveling so well," it's not hard to remain a rabid fanbase of a team that goes to the Super Bowl once every 5 years.

The three trails west started in Independence, not Overland Park.
Pinheads...

That's why I admire Chiefs, Browns, Cubs etc. fans so much for their dedication to their perennial non-championship teams (or been so long it's become folklore). Those are the true die-hard fans. It's easy to be a fan of a perennial winner.

Exactly. I'm so sick of hearing how loyal their fan base is. All they're doing is gloming onto a winner. On the other hand if I lived in a rust belt shithole like Pittsburgh I'd want to leave as often as possible too.

I was working and couldn't watch, but I have a friend who is a Steelers fan who got on a party bus down there. Said the place felt like Pittsburgh. But he did say that the Chiefs fans who were there were loud as hell, so there's that.

We need to take back Arrowhead dammit. Come on Haley, turn this shit boat around!!

There were a lot of Steelers fans there, but they were NOT as loud as the KC fans from what I could tell.

If the Steelers fans invaded Arrowhead, it appears that they made it all the way to Stalingrad.

All the Steeler fans I met were pretty cool yesterday. Really had no problem with any of them, also I know that team wins alot but the majority aren't the bandwagon ie Cowboys type.

From what I recall from the History and Military channel, it didn't turn out to well for the invaders..........

These are my thoughts exactly, a lot of fareweather fans will leech on to a team that has a tradition of winning. If the steelers ever go through a real drought you will see steeler nation dwindle down.

"It's like being back home in Pittsburgh," said Bob Hite, a fan club member who is general manager of the local Doubletree Hotel. "No other team has a fan base like the Steelers."
Actually, the Green Bay Packers have the most fans of any NFL team worldwide.

This is an actual fact, btw.

I saw the damn terrible towels on tv, and wanted to vomit. Beating them was all the sweeter. We have got to turn it around quickly. Arrowhead is Home to the greatest tailgating, and loudest fans. Knock this shit off.
