If Pioli does has done his draft homework correctly, the Chiefs can find a Rolle, Dansby and Boldin in the draft this April. Heck, they might even find someone better. And it won’t cost Clark Hunt an exorbitant amount of money.

Well based on last year it looks like we're screwed.

"If that’s not enough, just look at the teams that won the opening round of free agency. The Bears, Dolphins, Ravens and Giants are all in win now mode. They have established programs and are either trying to get over the hump (Baltimore and Miami) or back to the Super Bowl (Chicago and New York)."

This is my point. There's a time and a place for free agency. That time isn't for 4 win teams.

This is going to be a tough year to find free agents. With the field culled by lack of a collective bargaining agreement those few talents available are going to be snatched up fast. Its not going to be teams like the Chiefs that offer little on the field or off of it to attact talent that get the players out there.

I love how two months ago, the masses claimed that we'd be extremely active in FA, going after the big dogs, that it was a condition of Weis/Crennel coming here, etc.

Now we're 2 days into it, and people are claiming we were smart, or didn't have a chance.

LMAO

This place is in a constant state of flip-flop.

Well if the people who actually knew something on this site weren't so arrogant about it, the rest of us might learn something. /Chiefsplanet

Well the only reason I believed it is because that's what was reported.

"Pioli signed over 20 free agents after New England's first year. Expect similar levels of activity in Kansas City."

I guess the low hanging fruit from the tree is all picked up, true fans.

I remember the interview Clark did with Jack Harry right after he signed Scott Pioli.

He said that a big part of him taking the job was the fact that we had a lot of cap space.

LOL

(if any of you Hunt haters want a good gif of him, go to the last couple minutes of that interview and gif him laughing his ass off when Jack Harry suggests he should freeze ticket prices till they win a playoff game, I guarantee it would go into planet lore as the most used gif. People would use it everytime someone suggests we will sign a big time free agent. I wish I was a computer guy cause even I would make a gif of it. We wouldnt see that Tom Cruise gif ever again!)

There are a bunch of other BS nuggets in there too.

I am also a poker player and I got a huge tell from him. Look at his face immeniately when Jack Harry brings up Haley as the possible coach, Clark cant hold it back...GOD, I WISH I COULD GET ON A POKER TABLE WITH A WHALE LIKE HIM.
