Marshall is good, but I can't see him being happy here.

See ya.

I don't think so, but I wouldn't do it anyway. If we do that, that opens us up to retaliation. They might sign one of RFAs and put a poison pill in the contract. We don't want to lose any of our talented RFAs..... :)

Marshall is a head case. There is a reason he fell to the fourth round. There is a reason that teams aren't jumping all over sending a first round pick to the Broncos for him.

The Broncos can negotiate lesser compensation, but I doubt they do that for their division rivals. The Chiefs only shot would be to sign him to an offer sheet and give up the first round pick.

The fifth pick overall is too steep for a guy who could end up suspended for a year or be a distraction.

I would be hard pressed to give up our lower second rounder for him. I know he is a great talent, but I think team chemistry, and I am not sure that this team could handle his influence right now.

I think there are 2-3 teams with solid interest in signing him to an offer sheet... and most likely, this will be a situation that doesn't materialize until we're close to the draft.

Teams like a SEA with a prime R1 pick will likely wait until the draft gets closer just to see what happens. If another team or two show major interest, then maybe it speeds up the process.

If Brandon's agent were creative, he would float rumors that 49ers, Rams or Cardinals were becoming more interested in his services. Who knows, maybe that is in the near future.

But, in reality... if you have a top pick like SEA has... why rush to make a deal now? See what happens.

If your in for a 1st might as well be in for a 3rd also and get Vincent Jackson
He and Haley might actually not be like fire and gasoline

You guys will waste that top pick like you do every year when you draft about right there.

His agent has been floating those rumors. There is only one team that's actually been interested and that's seattle.

I'd give Denver our 1st pick in the 2nd round. Then I'd give him exactly $5 in guaranteed money and pay him by the game. If he has a tantrum, he doesn't get paid that week.

One team giving a division rival a pro-bowl stud WR is about as likely as another team giving a division rival a #5 draft pick.

Miles 03-09-2010 11:41 AM

He would obviously be nice to have but is too big of a ****up to give a high pick and sign him to a huge contract. Also, not like it is realistic for the Broncos to trade someone as good as Marshall within the division unless someone is willing to badly overpay.

HotRoute 03-09-2010 11:43 AM

guys like TO and B.marshall i really dont even consider. pioli wont ever sign one of those guys because of their bad behavior and huge mouths. part of those considered "not the right 53 "

BigChiefFan 03-09-2010 11:44 AM

I wouldn't trade a draft pick for cancer and that's what we would be getting. Let the Broncos hold on to that head case and disrupt their locker room.

vailpass 03-09-2010 11:55 AM

If Pioli traded for BMarsh tomorrow 95% of you would sing the praises of your GM and celebrate finally having a stud WR.

He's a great WR, but if he's so damn talented, why would the Broncos be willing to let him go? Answer:he's a disruptive headcase.
