Trade down with the Bills to 9, getting their second and sixth in the process.

Take Dan Williams.

Package 2b and 2c together to move back into the first and take Weatherspoon around 18.

Hopefully find a safety and slot receiver in rounds 3 and 4

Just an idea:

1.9: Dan Williams
1.18: Weatherspoon
2.4: Jerry Hughes
3.5: Nate Allen
4.4: Andre Roberts
5a: Brandon Lang
5b:Harry Coleman
5c:Lonyae Miller

That addresses NT, both safety spots, gives you two rush backers, a slot WR/return man, and a RB to tandem with Charles once Jones is out to pasture.

Plus, Weatherspoon is your de facto defensive leader.

Take a QB next year.

Would love to have Weatherspoon.
You really think Nate Allen will still be around in the Third Round?

He's a late 2nd to early third rounder, and guys like that generally drop because someone makes a stupid reach in the mid second.

It happens every year.

I hope you're right. If we got him in the Third Round it'd be great value.
Nate Allen is definitely on my wishlist. As is Spoon...

I would be fine with taking Spoon at #5...

What if we traded with Miami (let's say they are the only/best offer on the table)... would you be oppossed to taking Earl Thomas with the #12 pick? (assuming Dan Williams is gone)

and then having this be the draft....

1.12 E Thomas
2.4 J Hughes
2.11 BPA
2.18 C Thomas
3.5 BPA

(leaving the rest of your draft the same.) We get one extra pick and can cover all the same positions but miss on Spoon

(remember this is based on a Miami trade being the only one out there)

and I know that is a bit high for C Thomas but that becomes a NEED pick and he certainly shouldn't make it to the third.

Did my last post offically kill this thread? :)

teedubya 03-16-2010 05:49 PM

NOOOO. We don't need the Mizzouchebagification of the Chiefs to begin.

Again, I ask you, is Weatherspoon worth Damian Williams and Jamar Chaney? or any 2 of the second round prospects you may fancy?

2.11 Damian Williams, 2.18 Jamar Chaney 3.5/4.5 Linval joseph and you have single handedly filled tons of holes.

I don't see how that addresses any of the larger issues dealing with the inadequacies and deficiencies on the offensive line.

F-.

I do so love Uni. Got to be fresh though. Really fresh.

If it's fresh, it's almost like a desert.

Holy hell I forgot about Joseph... yeah I would rather not reach on C. Thomas at 2.18 and take Joseph at 4.5 if he is there.
