I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE it if we could get Pat Angerer from Iowa in the 4th round. He is one of those guys who seems to always be where the play goes...great instincts, makes up for lack of athleticism with heart and intelligence.

i wasn't trying to be a jerk or whatever ... but seriously, alot of people keep throwing Morgan's name out there like he is a vialbe options for anything other than special teams.

Maybe he CAN be but so far he been lost and soft.


At this point, it would be just as feasible to tell Derrick Johnson to lose weight and try him at strong safety as count on Morgan to start.

Morgan is a liability in coverage too. Watch last years preaseason games. The guy couldn't even hold his own with 3rd stringers. He kept on trying to make a play on the ball instead of on him man and came up with big fat whiffs. With the 3rd string receiver already behind him with the ball, it spells disaster unless his teammate clean it up for him. Imagine the liability he becomes facing Marshall/Royal/Stokely.

But I agree with you, you have a point, at this point in his career Morgan hasn't shown much.

*McGraw is probably the best guy for the SS job. I thought he played well at times last year, but he is a liability in coverage that's my concern with him due to lack of speed.

no, but he hasn't been much help in coverage and will miss a tackle way too frequently.

i still don't know what they hell we are going to do at linebacker though.

Hali/Williams/Mays/Vrabel just doesn't get it done imo

No clue what the front office will do, but I really hope he can be a viable player. If we give up on him, that is ANOTHER goddamn player we have to find. Currently, even if we draft Berry, who the **** is going to back him up?
