Agreed. That pick still has me stumped.

Pollard+Berry would've been so sweet.

Am I missing something or did you guys just forget how often Pollard went to blow up a guy and totally missed tackles? I wish maybe they could have taught him how to wrap up better, but it is what it is. Of course, Brown really wasn't much of an upgrade, either. Perhaps the Chiefs will draft another safety.

I'm really shocked he lasted as long as he did.

I think Houston made a HUGE mistake taking Jackson over him.

JAX, SD, and Denver were the big losers last night AFAIC. I pretty much said the same thing as you in the draft thread. That trade AJ made was a huge reach.

While I'm not on the McClain bandwagon, and it was somewhat of a head scratcher, I think Oakland made one of their better 1st round picks in the last few years. LMAO

i feel sorry for spiller going to a frozen shithole

and I can't believe the Pats passed on Hughes and let him drop to the Colts

Witherspoon to ATL was a great pick for them

Why not just take ****ing Tebow and sell the season tickets? And does anyone really think they couldn't have gotten Alualu in the 2nd round? 3rd?

I really don't want this to turn into a Pollard argument, but he didn't seem to have that problem in Houston. Which leads me to believe that coaching matters.

Heh heh. I think that says more about how awful Oakland's 1st rounders have been over the past several years than how good it was this year. I hope Al Davis lives forever. :D

I like Chad Jones, but I'd rather get Major Wright. Berry and Wright are both althetically sick, ball-hawks who love to hit. Even more, both can play either safety position. In certain packages Berry would be able to move to corner and play man-to-man coverage on a WR while Wright would move into the FS role. Our secondary would be ridiculous.

I'll have to take your word for it as I didn't really follow much NFL last year (except the Chiefs). Yeah, Gunther's defensive coaching ability has "jumped the shark".

LMAO Absolutely. May the old codger live to 160.

It made the night even better sitting next to a Bronco fan friend at the bar as the Tebow pick came in.
