I wore a light jacket to work this morning. It finally got over 60 around noon.

Heat is fine. Humidy + Heat is what sucks.

this last week has been very very abnormally humid for Iraq, equals any humid day in MO and the temp has been consistently in the 130s even hit 142 about 5 days ago. Abso-****ing-lutely insane hot, miserable and I'm ready to get the F out of this country.....

Call me crazy, but I like this hot weather. Keeps the joints limber. Cold beer tastes better.

This. I finally took my sweatshirt off a half hour ago.

I wish I could bottle it somehow to fully share the experience. It's 11pm right now, still easily in the 120s, and the wind feels warm on your face. I went outside to smoke and strum on the guitar, I didn't get halfway through the cig before sweat was pouring off my head.

Well, really - The heat is the only thing that I have (that I can share online) to really "boast" about sucking. As to staying safe, I'm doing EVERYTHING I can. Unfortunately it's not all up to what I do here. But I really appreciate the kindness of thoughts.

I'm just getting to the point of really really ready to be "normal" again and get home. I know I'm not the only one here or who has been here, so I'm sure they know, and I'm sure it was worse a few years ago. Hats off to them as well.

Hey, things are looking up, we moved from the tents to a more "fortified" position with overhead cover and hardened "chews", AC is better and I am one of the few to get one all to myself. So now I can dance around naked and look at GoChief's pictures to play with myself and bother nobody else.

Plus we got two beers on the fourth of july, so that was nice.....

well shoot, he's lost a LOT of weight, matured (albeit slightly), and actually ventures outside of his basement frequently, if he'd only learn to curb that down syndrome baby smile he has, he'd be a freaking catch!
