The K has always been tough on catchers trying to block balls, with our famous Kansas City dirt Kendall has saved 10 balls that the UziFi reports on espn.com says that Olivo wouldn't have blocked
|
When I was in college PITT Kendell was the catcher on the Pirates. We went to a lot of in my time there and he's probably the only player I remember. Great blue collar, give it all everyday type of player.
I remember he broke his ankle really bad when running into 1st base (think it was 1st) and don't think he's been of the same caliber since. |
he broke his ankel and his bone went through his skin and sock

He's doing pretty well in my MVP Baseball 2005 dynasty, but then that's 2005 and also a video game.

didn't you just bring up the "Moustakas, where all all the haters" just a second ago?

Kendall had his day in the sun (1996-2000). If one recalls, he was an All-Star as early as his rookie season.
He has been a sub par offensive catcher since 2004, but his value deteriorated even further when his on-base percentage plummeted starting in 2008. |
I think they should look into developing Gordon as a 2, he takes a lot of pitches, even with his shitty average his OBP is usually pretty solid.
And why do people hate Kendall, when you let both your catchers go and sign a guy worse than both of them, it happens. |
Why?
1. He sucks. 2. We signed him to a multi-year deal worth more money, when there were better, and cheaper, available options. 3. He sucks. 4. He's been tremendously overexposed by our management. |
I see Getz being the next jeff tredway
