He knows his role next to a once in a lifetime freak athlete at the position that I am sure he's honored to team with, but let's be real, any in game situations are going through Patrick Willis on that defense.

Patrick Willis couldn't even start for the Chiefs. He'd be carrying Demorrio Williams' and Corey Mays' helmets to practice.

i am anything but a homer. if you think that mike didnt bring spikes in to help make onfield decisions and help teach willis the game you are a fool.
The NFL is about match ups. Spikes being out is imo a huge advantage for the KC clubs offensive game plan.

MOhillbilly 09-23-2010 10:11 AM

and i stand by the shit i said about the SF/saints game.

BIG_DADDY 09-23-2010 10:34 AM

Spikes is good I'll take it.

DonTellMeShowMe 09-23-2010 10:41 AM

yes we def want Spikes out there and he may still start...he's got them old knees

Im sure Willis would do a great job, but yes it def will have an impact with Spikes out

we will be missing out on his post-tackle celebrations

Not sure it really matters, Navarro Bowman was playing against New Orleans and was doing a fine job in that spot.

It involves not letting Cassel throw and not handing off to Charles.

HotRoute 09-23-2010 10:31 PM

Their defense is fine without him
