I was referring to this season and maybe last season.

My point is that hopefully Haley has the balls to tell Matt to not play (if he can't get it done) even if Matt himself thinks he can play.

Childress just did whatever Favre wanted. Favre's competetiveness wouldn't allow him to stay out, even though he should have.

Now if the coaches determine that Matt can actually do it, then go ahead.

Never mind, I'm done with this argument. I didn't really think it through enough before I posted and I can't back it up now.

He isn't going to start, and it's not a question of toughness here. It's the right thing to do, especially if the Chiefs make the playoffs. They'll need him 100% to go against the Jets, Ravens, or Steelers.

Let's see what Brodie can do with an improved line and actual playmakers around him.

Cassel playing or not playing has nothing to do with whether or not Haley has the "balls" to sit him... He's not a giant pussy like Childress.

Cassel will not play this week. If he does, I'll respect him even more as a person because he will be trying to throw the ball through some ridiculous pain. I just hope it doesn't make him antsy in the pocket even more than he already is.

MOhillbilly 12-09-2010 11:49 AM

Some men are just tough on a whole nother level. We are about to see if matt is on that level.

Dear god why man? IF Cassel can play.. Great, if not :banghead: I never want to see what Brokie can do...Been there, done that...

Mr. Laz 12-09-2010 11:55 AM

He might but he shouldn't imo

Those little holes still go through skin, muscle etc and there are still stitches involved.

one guy goes down, the next guy needs to step up

LaChapelle 12-09-2010 11:56 AM

Be more concerned with Palko playing Rivers on the scout team
Brodie could have helped the D prepare
