I used to have a group of 7-8 for the draft, some local guys, some from out of town. I'd DVR the beginning on Saturday, because we'd all head out early that AM and get in a round of golf, then come back to the house, grill, play poker and get caught up. Last year one of the group came over for R1/R2 because he had decided to take Friday as a vacation day, thinking it would run really late on Thursday night, plus we wanted to get in some golf on Friday afternoon. This year, I'm rolling solo. Might even hang on CP a bit. |
Denver is live streaming their war room on their website during the first round so I am probably going to watch it at home while listening to NFL Network in the background.

The NFL has really screwed the pooch in terms of when they hold the draft. The Saturday/Sunday format was like SK said, "a second Christmas". I'm an old school draft freak. I used to skip school back in the '80s when ESPN didn't suck and it was a Monday/Tuesday affair. Every April I would come down with the Draft Flu.

I'll be at work, constantly checking my phone for updates. I liked it a lot better when the draft was on a Saturday/Sunday. I used to get together with a couple buddies at the local watering hole and watch the first round or two.

Looks like I'll be at Saints Pub in Lenexa with Bugeater, sedated, and RedNFeisty before going to tailgate for the Royals game that night.

I'll probably watch it at home unless someone wants to go out to happy hour, then I'll watch it on a tv at the bar.
|
Making sure that I don't watch it, in the vain hope that enough people will skip it that the league will go back to the 2 day, sat/sun, format
