It was. How many times can you run that same predictable tight end screen? It was a ridiculously vanilla gameplan. That being said, I still believe the loss today boils down to this team not being prepared, motivated, or conditioned to win. And I think we need to give at least 3 or 4 games to see if this new offensive system works--that's a lot to ask for for this offense to be clicking this soon into the season, given the enormous amount of change.

And yes, they need a new Quarterback. There were lots of open downfield receivers Cassel had no business missing.

I guess in the playcalling's defense, it's hard to tell if the problem was the playcalling, or Captain Checkdown. It may have seemed like conservative playcalling, but maybe that was because Cassel was checking down when he shouldn't have.
