79% for me as well, and twice I switched answers when I would've been correct had I went with my first instinct. I hate it when that happens. Nevertheless it's better than I expected going in since I'm not really into 50s cars all that much.

You got 71% (34 right out of 48). The average score is 73%

meh
I am below average

Abba-Dabba 09-23-2011 06:33 AM

79% 38 for 48

not bad for a 1975 non-gear head puke

TimeForWasp 09-23-2011 07:01 AM

71%

You got 83% (40 right out of 48). The average score is 73%

I am surprised. Now do that with 60's-70's muscle cars and I would probably get somewhere in the upper 90's.

I amaze myself with that sometimes. I walked in to the front room yesterday and the Barrett-Jackson auction from Vegas was on. All I saw the the side of a dark green car from about the front of the passenger car and immediately knew it was a 65 or 66 Chevelle. I honestly don't know how I can tell but it works very often. I don't always know the subtle differences to distinguish a specific year but can usually get within one of two years with just a glance.

You got 100% (48 right out of 48). The average score is 73%

but to be fair the first and second time I saw this, I switched the 52 and 54 Mercury's up. They just seem to be backwards to me. But this time, I had to study a while on the Willys and Henry J, they were both out of production when I was growing up.

In the 50s, we didn't have video games to play while traveling with the folks. So, observing and learning all the cars on the road was something I was doing at 5.

That same site has two similar games for 60-70’s muscle cars. Just dig around the link a little bit, you’ll find them, that’s how I found the Engine ID one. I’ll warn you though, they’re a lot tougher than this one. You’re not just separating a Chrysler from a Dodge, you’ve got to be able to sort out the different years for a specific model.

Stop by that other board, I’ve got pictures from Greaserama up and you can probably help me identify some of them.

Definitely tougher. I especially had trouble with the non-GM one although I didn't track my overall score. Too many early 60's on both for me to get them completely correct.

I did learn one thing, I owned a '68 LeMans and can tell the difference between 68-71 GTOs easily but it is mostly through parking and tail lights. I did not know that the 68 was the last year they had a wing window. Mine got broken and I rode a bus across town carrying the replacement. Sure got some funny looks that day (more than usual at least :) ).

Heh, those Mercs tripped me up as well for the same reason. Now I don't feel so bad knowing they got you too.

Ah, cars of my youth. Very nostalgic.

You got 88% (42 right out of 48).

ToxSocks 09-23-2011 11:56 AM

I'd fair a lot better if it were about the 60's. 50's i have no clue.

Old Dog 09-23-2011 11:58 AM

only 58%
