Got out to save his ACL. Smart move.

Starting Niswanger, Goff, Smith and O'Callaghan on OL?

Mays and Williams at LB?

We could really use Shaun Smith right about now, and we had plenty of cap room. The dude wanted to be here, too. Letting him walk was ****ing dumb. I know that's on Pioli, but it's also on Haley to tell Scott what he needs. This team definitely needed Smith.

I'm good with letting Waters go. People don't realize that he'd be sucking a bowl of shit right now if he still played for us. He's back to being on a great offense in New England... is it any wonder that he's playing well for them?

LJ/Charles was pretty bad

Palko over Stanzi was dumb. I realize he was given Cassel and can't do anything about him

It's tough to gauge which players suck because they're bad players and which players suck because of Haley. In terms of personnel choices, though, Haley's got his mix of good and bad decisions.

Again, I think we're talking about his strongest suit as a head coach- getting the most out of his guys. This isn't why I want him fired.

I was fine when we let him walk and I'm not too broken up about it now. That said, the question was did he handle him correctly. He was obviously made to feel unwelcome when the new regime arrived. You can argue that was on him, but who knows. I think feeling appreciated in NE made a big difference with him.

The entire 2009 draft

Waters opened the door for Asamoah to start. That was a good long-term decision. And Waters is only playing better because he has a QB that finally makes him look better.

Smith and the 2009 draft were hardly on Haley, nor was drafting DMC.

Brown, Pope, and O'Connell... it's not like they have better options on the roster.

I think from a personnel side, he's made a lot more good than bad decisions.

On Shaun Smith, like most decisions, I don't think Pioli gives a shit what Haley thinks. And that's exactly the problem.

On Palko... I wonder if Haley would start Stanzi if he knew his job was safe. I feel like they may be starting Palko because he feels the pressure to win now.

And you know this how?

FYI, coaches have input on THEIR team.

So Haley is a victim?

Im not a fly on the wall. But I'm sure Haley didn't beg pioli for less players to work with. I'm sure he didn't beg pioli to load his roster with ex patriots. And given his familiarity with variations of the 3-4 I'm sure he didn't insist on the 2 gap 3-4. The instant Tyson Jackson was drafted it was clear who was dictating the system. The instant Weiss and crennel were hired we should have seen that pioli doesn't have flexibility to move beyond his system.

So yes, I think Haley is the victim of an egomaniac who only knows one way to build a team.

Probably on mccluster. I find it hard to believe Smith wasn't a money decision.

Will Svitek was the starting left tackle for the Falcons when they beat the Titans last week. He's listed on the depth chart as 2nd string.
