Had to play hard. He was almost as slow as Maslowski.

where's the late Wayne Simmons? dude took all the heat in the Monday Night Meltdown, most memorable Chiefs game ever.

I know it's the 1st one I think of. Not the Montana vs Elway game, not the Houston playoff game or even the SB win...
I always think of the mnf game where Simmons and DT went ape shit.

You forget your meds?

Bobby Sippio and Casey Printers if we would have used them correct.

Gonzo 12-09-2011 06:39 PM

Manusky and Maslowski

The polish linebackers.

They were always tackling the refs.

Did Glen Cadrez get considered for the HOF? Just wondering. He was a member of Robinson's All-Star defense. That was a train wreck.

I'm asking this because I'm curious where our current guys stand. If you can be a starter for a few years you move to the top of any team's list pretty quick.

Here's mine:

1. Willie Lanier
2. Bobby Bell
3. Derrick Thomas
4. Sherrill Headrick
5. E.J. Holub
6. Jim Lynch
7. Derrick Johnson
8. Tamba Hali
9. Anthony Davis
10. Gary Spani
11. Tracy Simien
12. Donnie Edwards
13. Dino Hackett
14. Walt Corey
15. Thomas Howard

Am I too high on DJ and Tamba? Too low? Right now, I see them as being about the same impact as Anthony Davis and Jim Lynch, which would put them in our top ten in history. I think they need a few pro bowls to move further up, though.

Lanier is my all time favorite Chief, but I'd still have to place Bell at #1, with Lanier at #2.

I'd move Edwards down, one of the most overrated Chiefs players ever.

Rain Man 12-09-2011 09:17 PM

Yeah, milkman, Bell and Lanier are 1a and 1b, and it doesn't matter which. As for Edwards, he faded, but I thought he was quite solid his first five years or so in the league. Who would you place above him?

So overall, do people agree with my assessment that we have two of the Chiefs all-time ten best linebackers on the field this Sunday? I'm curious because it's not something that I would have assumed until I try to identify people above them on the list.

Linebackers are guys that should be knocking RBs on thier asses.

Donnie should have been a Cowboy, cuase he just rode the RBs like a pony.
