I've reviewed a number of these threads without commenting. After reviewing them all, I realize that the consensus of ChiefsPlanet is to not have anyone that actually exists as your new HC...

This means, somehow, that CAN'T happen?

Getting a previous superbowl coach may not increase your odds of acheiving a superbowl victory beyond that of any other coach. But, to suggest it is impossible or even a factor in their second team's success is disingenuous, imo.

peeps here would complain if we traded a late pick for Bellichick or McCarthy or some shit

every rule gets broken. every record gets broken. Someone will eventually win with multiple teams.

A coach over 55 is less likely to be successful than a QB drafted in the 6th round.

Does that mean it's impossible? No.

Do you want to find your QB of the future in the 6th round?

Me either.

Just say no to old men.

It's not just changing scenery... successful coaches are usually OLD by the time they start their 2nd coaching job.

Finally someone gets it. The odds of a coach winning a Super Bowl are slim to none, no matter where they come from. The logic of not wanting a coach who has already won a Super Bowl is just faulty. It will happen someday.
