Ken Rolston was lead designer on Morrowind and Oblivion, coupled with a legit fantasy author (Salvatore) this has the potential to be a pretty good release. I am always on the lookout for and interesting new IP in this world of sequels and reboots. Ultimately this will depend on how much originality Rolston and McFarlane have left in the tank.

Almost 3 years for your first post?

That's pretty amazing.

I see the similarities to Skyrim, but the gameplay is totally different. I think I will buy this.

Shows more indepth gameplay than previous videos. It is the PC version, but has controller synch capabilities. Getting pretty excited about this. Looks clean and smooth.

I'll try the demo. You unlock something in Mass Effect 3 by playing it.

The graphics are similar to what was done in Fable 3 and while those don't have the darkness or grit of a Skyrim, they're VERY effective. VERY.

From what I've been reading, Salvatore is responsible for large portions of the story. I can only assume from looking at videos and screenshots that McFarlane was initimately involved in the artistic direction - the oversized weapons, the bright, comic-book colors, etc.

I pre-ordered it last Wednesday.

This looks a lot like Fable 3. I couldn't get into Fable 2, but my wife loves 'em.

IMO Fable 2 was superior to Fable 3.

Damn...I'm waiting to get paid. Next week, then I'm preordering it.

If you pre-order at Gamestop you get a whole bunch of DLC - like 9 fate-touched weapons, 3 sets of armor, other stuff.

I think other retailers are doing the same but I liked what Gamestop had.

The big thing about this vs. others (like Fable 3) is that they're giving DLC that is useful for ALL character types.

I pre-ordered Fable 3 and got a free DLC hammer. Of course, I decided I liked swords better and that hammer never got used.
