I hate Honey. Good for sweetening, but tastes awful by itself.

boogblaster 12-23-2011 09:54 AM

tmax63 12-23-2011 10:27 AM

Honey, it takes momma longer to lick it off..........

I like honey but I often find myself using other things (sorghum, molasses, brown sugar, etc.) when I'm making something that calls for honey.

Agave Nectar is my sweetner of choice.

Stewie 12-23-2011 10:39 AM

You can use Turbinado Sugar. It also called raw sugar. It has a very slight molasses taste since it's not highly processed.

Agave nectar

If I was a beet farmer, I'd say sugar, but I'd be fibbing.

Instead, I keep a few hives, so I say honey. And it's true.

This is the correct answer.

Honey is usually quite a bit more expensive -

This. Raw Honey... you can't trust store bought honey... plus, you want from a local farmer because it is made with pollen from the area, thus it indirectly helps against allergies.

I thought this thread would be about two hookers in a jello-wrestling contest.

Son, I am disappoint.

I've also found out that there are varieties of Honey. It'll depend on what kind of flowers the bees are pollinating will give different tastes.

Just ran out of sugar for my coffee, searched around and found some sugar free pancake syrup. Damn it's good.
