It would be great if Indy could win and give the Vikes the #1 overall and if they would go for it, it would be short of giving them a Ricky Williams-type trade deal ruining our draft future and we get our QBOTF. A solid RB is easier to find than a once in a generation QB like Luck or even Barkley if we had to go #2 overall.

Why would they trade for a guy who had a similar injury and hasn't played yet to show hes back

He would be "ready" a season sooner than AP. And it would depend on the severity of AP's injury. If its only a single tear rather than a complete blowout this trade would obviously have no merit. But if AP's is really bad and Charles is showing he's recovered it might..

Reminded me of McGahee in 2003.

How is Charles going to show he's recovered before the draft?

BTW. Barkley isnt in this draft and Luck will be gone before the Vikings pick.

Yes my bad. The Colts would need to win to get the Vikings a #1. I dont think RG3 is worth trading up to take at #2

No one knows if he will ever be right. We all obviously hope so but I haven't seen him hit a hole yet to know

He may lose a tick of speed but he is young, he should be 90%

If he's able to do a workout at that point he would be way ahead of schedule, showing that his injury wasn't catastrophic. If Peterson's injury is catastrophic Charles would be a better bet and the Vikings could even be getting value.

Agreed. I think McGahee hyperextended at least 30 degrees.
