The worst I have ever seen.

And I had to sit through the likes of Tyler Thigpen and Damon Huard and now Tyler Palko.

He also took over a 1-4 team and finished 7-4 with a trip to the playoffs. Not to shabby for a kid that was drafted as 3 year project and had no off-season training. That's actually badass in a lotta ways.

Next year is where the rubber meets the road. He's a very conservative QB and needs to work on a number of things.

The team turned around for the positive when he became the starter... it was ugly more than it was pretty and they limped into the division title. We'll see how it goes this weekend when the Steelers come to Denver. I expect a loss, but I'm not betting against them at this point. They've played poorly for a month now, we'll see if they're fall back to earth was the awakening they needed.

I didn't like the play calling yesterday ... it was as if they wanted to play uber conservative and rely on SD winning to get them into the playoffs. I hated watching the game yesterday, it was by far the worst of any of the games I saw this season.

Steelers have the #1 defense in the NFL... they're beat up a bit on offense. Again, I'm fully expecting a loss... but, I'm hoping for a good game. We'll see. My expectations are low, they took some baby steps forward this season and watching them in the wildcard round is something I didn't expect. So, I'm just going to enjoy it and let the chips fall as they may.

If Tebow is going to improve, they need to add some short yardage weapons... a nice pass catching RB, solid pass catching TE... hell, I'd like to see Hillis come back to Denver. I think he would be a nice addition to this style of offense with what he can do running, blocking and catching. The big weapon they miss is a strong TE target...

With the way McGahee ran this year, you probably would have won 10 or 11 games with anybody even remotely competent behind center. Hell, as well as your defense has played, you might have been able to push for a bye.

He wasn't able to run like that until Tebow came in and produced another running possibility for the defense to key on.

I think they need a RB, WR, and maybe MLB. I think they'll draft BPA up and down the board though.

This guy is an alternate for the Pro Bowl. Incredible. He's one of the least efficient QBs in the game, and people actually voted for this guy to go to Hawaii.

Matt Cassel was 10-5 last year. Come up with a better argument.

Three jump out...his win-loss record as a starter, his total amount of TD's, and I would add his 4th quarter comebacks.

I don't need any other argument. That's really the only stat that matters.

Priest Holes once gained over 300 total yards in a game. Which was awesome. But it didn't mean shit because the Chiefs lost that day.

Wins and losses are team statistics, dummy. I am talking about individual QB statistics.

As it relates to what? Running your mouth? No, the only point in talking about stats is how they relate to winning. Otherwise...who gives a shit?

Well, in the first 5 games of the year... none of that was happening. Did it take that long for players and the system (new coaches) to gel? Possibly. It's also possible that despite his lack of flashy passing stats - the team rallied around the change and his leadership, and the offense totally changed. Prior to the last 3 games, they just weren't turning the ball over. They're averaging 100 yards more per game after the change and this helps out all aspects of the team game. The Broncos won because of and in spite of Tebow at times. They were 7-4 after the change... The didn't sniff that type of production with Orton. I think Orton can be a good QB in a good system, but the change was made and ... they're the division champs. And, as ugly as that may be... they're in the hunt.

I'd like for them to focus again on defense in the draft... focus on offensive additions through FA. Royal is likely gone and I could see him having huge production with a team like the Saints. I'd take him back though for the right price. Thomas and Decker are good, but they do need another threat.

Ball and Johnson are ok depth at RB, but they need someone like a Hillis or a Tolbert to pair up with McGahee. Go get a veteran RB that has some years left and can catch - hell, get two. The TE threat though, that is a huge "must have" for me... they need a big target with great hands to take those dump off passes over the middle when things need a quick bail out.

The defense has some issues and the secondary is old... may be time to move Champ to S and then fill in youth at CB. Focus on DEF in the draft early, take a BPA on offense if he's there.
