if you can get a deal on one, it'll be one of your best investments and will improve your life.

I'm a shitty sleeper - but never need to re-adjust like I do when i'm in my own bed. Tonya has one and it phenomenal, you'll actually sleep rather than tossing around all night.

OK. And what about the middle of the bed?

I like to sleep cold, so now I know to stay away from these kind of beds. Bummer.

Been on a water bed for 20+ years. Looked at the heavely bed from Westin, the sleep number and therapedic before deciding yestersday on paying a 1/3 of the price at IKEA and going with a coil system with latex pillowtop on the top.

Rub it in, jerk. That's one of the few things I miss about Houston.

Also, how does it compare to sleep number beds? I am noticing that the sleep number bed is actually more affordable.

sleep number bed is the only way to go. I have had one for 10 years.

I have a generic foam mattress (from Bob's Furniture, their "Bob-O-Pedic") and I'm disappointed with it. It helped a little but I still wake up sore in the shoulder and hip area quite often. I wish I'd tried the Sleep Number instead.

I sleep on the floor...
