That's the thing, people don't understand how close they really are to losing control of their vehicle. Far too many people underestimate the elements and think they're great drivers or some shit.

I know snow doesn't equal rain, but i constantly see people hauling ass through heavy downpours.

It seems like you have to crash before you realize how close you actually are to having those tires break loose.

I don't think I've ever seen a vehicle disintegrate like that. There one second, gone the next.

I think that shows that all involved were probably going too fast for conditions. The SUV was going too fast and lost control. That semi had to be going fast to just destroy the SUV like that.

Just look during the next snow/ice storm. A majority of the vehicles in ditches are 4WD because so many people buy them and think they are invincible. You have to understand how your vehicle responds and adjust to weather conditions.

~80,000 lbs of steel @ 75 mph = bad day for anything in its path.

doomy3 03-17-2012 08:52 AM

Holy shit. It's like that SUV was made of Popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue.

Well except a freight train. Trains do to a semi, what a semi does to a car.

ChiefFripp 03-17-2012 08:58 AM

SUV= probably a good chance children were in the vehicle too. Scary stuff.

True. Not sure I would want to be anywhere near much less on a train that got hit by a semi doing 75 lol.

I have, well I didn't quite see it happen but in Deerfield KS a pick up truck backed into a fuel truck & KAPLOWIE KER BOOM Ch KA! I was at home at the time & there was a large amount of smoke from the gas stop. I was there just about 5 min pryer to the explosion. There was nothing left of the pickem up truck. The cab of the simi was the only thing that survived & that truck driver lived. (rip driver of pickup) What an explosion. If it was on vid it would of made this video look like weak sauce, but this video brings back that memory. This one is still bad tho.

Molitoth 03-17-2012 09:22 AM

Two things here. First, are you a one-upper in real life, or just on the Internet? Second, who thinks, talks, or types like this? "KAPLOWIE KER BOOM Ch KA!" "pickem up truck" Really!?

Be honest, did you just make this story up?
