how often are WRs traded for firsts? |

i dont think thats the case at all. i think there should be a panic that the sides are so far apart, and maybe the Chiefs know something fans don't. (like Bowe is absolutely not interested in staying longer than this year.) Why not get something to groom for your team NOW, rather than having Bowe walk just like Carr. Carr and Bowe put the Chiefs in a very awful position, because they stand to lose both by the start of next season. And losing TWO in house guys makes the FO look pathetic. |

@RUSSLANDE just told us that the Chiefs tried to trade Dwayne Bowe yesterday, but nobody was willing to offer a first round pick for him.

I don't believe NO team would give up a 1st for Bowe.
Anything from KC sports media is best, taken with a grain of salt. |

I would think that a top 5 WR, which a lot of homers believe he is, would demand at least one late first rounder. |
An absolutely unimpeachable source for this rumor, no doubt.

Now, if there's that top 5 QB next year and we can package Bowe+picks to move up and grab our guy I'm ok with that. I don't want to trade bowe for Tannehill but if we could give up Bowe and a few less picks to move up for an RGIII type player...well....that'd be different... |
We would never get a first round pick for Bowe. Nobody is going to give a premium pick and then pay Bowe a huge contract. Two seconds or a second and a third is the best the Chiefs could hope to get for Bowe.

more importantly, who cares? he's really good, he's our #1, and we need to sign him |

This could be a way to lower Bowe's asking price.
Say you tried to trade him for a first, no one wants to do it, he lowers his asking price? |
