This is just the same old stuff people post when they are completely clueless.
|
Oh come on people. You act like NO VETERAN CHIEFS player has EVER done this! Wake up your fricking minds! Tony Gonzales did this in 2002 after he got tagged. Sat out most of training camp then sighed a longer term deal later. It's not that hard to figure out. He knows hew wasn't getting a new deal right away so he milked the situation as much as he could. Vets on other teams have done the same thing and will continue to do so. It's not rocket science.

Where are all these reeruns coming from? |
I don't live in Kansas City anymore and from an out of town view point it does seem like Bowe is holding out when he could be productive. Just cause you holding out doesn't prevent you from being a team player. He has to know that he's a marked man and that he's stuck with the Chiefs for at least 1 more year. They should of had this all worked out before the pre-season. Both him and the team.

Essentially in the NFL a 1 year contract is in the teams favor, Bowe has literally millions of reasons to go out and perform week in and week out. Whether he does that to win games as a Chief or just cash in for a payday who cares? Don't get me wrong, Id like to see Bowe signed to a long term deal, but a 1 year tender accomplishes the same thing, we get Bowe as a Chief contributor (sorry for the lame pun) in 2012, and get another year of evalution of both his abilities and attitude. I love the guy. No homo. |
Some fans think Bowe is going to sign a long term deal in KC. That ship has sailed in Bowe's eyes. He is only here to do the season and get ready for Miami.
